I have extensive experience with transactional e-commerce systems. I have been involved with interactive systems and mixed media transactions since 1990, when I joined Ticketmaster and was the first to identify the company's online market potential. In 1993/4, as a Senior Client Representative, I registered and developed the first generation of Ticketmaster Online, which led to the launch of the original Ticketmaster Online in 1994. I was also responsible for over $350 million worth of tickets, venue seating, fulfillment and customer service for one of the world’s largest sporting events, World Cup USA 1994.
In 1995, I accepted an offer to join The Walt Disney Company, where I ran international ticketing for the Tony Award-winning Theatrical Productions Division. I also consulted to other divisions in the company, including theme parks, movie distribution and corporate projects such as the New Amsterdam Theatre renovation and Disney Online.
I left Disney in 1996 to become a freelance consultant, specializing in helping companies understand and utilize Internet commerce systems. I worked for large, established companies and small start-ups. I also provided portable ticketing solutions for large corporations operating conferences and trade fairs in foreign venues, and ran ticketing and IS for a publicly-traded racing company located throughout the US.
In 1998, I became first Vice President of Product Development and then Vice President of Strategic Ticketing for Tickets.com. I managed transactional ticketing, corporate strategy, product development, strategic partnerships, acquisition strategy, and the evaluation of new technologies. At Tickets.com I laid the groundwork for several acquisitions in the ticketing industry, as well as the merger of Tickets.com and Advantix.
Currently, I spend my time consulting in business development, product development and strategy.
